Pain tolerance (1-10)

Pain tolerance in BDSM contexts refers to how much physical pain or intensity a person can experience comfortably. This 1-10 scale helps, but is subjective of course.

Understanding your pain tolerance is essential for safety and enjoyment in pain play. A rating of 1 might indicate very minimal sensation play (light scratching, gentle spanking), while 10 would represent extremely intense sensations that only the most experienced masochists might enjoy.

Remember that:

  • Pain tolerance varies widely between individuals

  • Your tolerance can fluctuate based on arousal, mood, stress levels, and physical health

  • Different body parts have different sensitivity levels

  • Building pain tolerance is possible but should be approached gradually
