Gas Masks

Gas masks in BDSM are repurposed military or industrial respirators used for sensory alteration and aesthetic effect. They cover most of the face, change breathing patterns, and create a distinctive visual appearance.

These masks restrict and alter breathing while creating distance between the wearer and their environment. The mechanical breathing sound and effort required can induce altered mental states.
